Bharatpur city in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is located close to New Delhi, Agra and Mathura. Bharatpur falls on the Golden Triangle (Tourist Triangle) of Delhi - Agra - Jaipur, due to which tourists prefer to visit this place. Bharatpur is famous for Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park which is also known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
Apart from the park, Bharatpur has some historical sights, although it is not worth visiting alone for these people. The grand and colorful Brij Festival is held just before the Holi ceremony in Bharatpur. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a lesser known but worth its destination in the state of Rajasthan. It is called paradise for birds and bird watchers. It hosts thousands of rare and endangered species of birds. One of them would be a Siberian crane. The sanctuary has been established for over 250 years.
